Hello, all! I'm new here - just arrived, hoping to get help finding a tune from a musical I heard 27 years ago. I'm losing my mind over here, trying to remember it in great enough detail and coming up short.
Things I know for certain:
-The song was included in a compilation that also featured Castle on a Cloud from Les Miserables.
-I had this compilation on cassette when I was nine years old, which would've been 1994.
-The lyrics contain the words "I remember" and "November."
It's hard to say otherwise for sure how the song really went, as it was so long ago, but I remember it being a sad song about someone going home for the holidays and possibly struggling with either A: being gay and feeling alienated from their family or B: a sibling committing suicide. I realize that isn't a lot to go on, but ugghhh, I'm going crazy trying to remember it! Ironically, as remember is one of the only words I remember. Lol
I also remember the tune, but I have no idea how helpful that will be on this platform. The lyrics aren't exact here, obviously, but this is the best I can offer...
Dum dum dum-dumm, I remeeeember, like it was yesterdaaaay, we hung liiiights and had the same old fiiiights, dum dum dum dummmm....
Again, not the same lyrics exactly. But in the ballpark, I think. 27 years is a long time.
