Passing on an email I just recieved. If you have a chance you should definitely tune in!

"Friends and Colleagues:

'Just letting you all know about exciting development. Here's the condensed back-story...

A few months ago, my good friend, Matt Castle, who is in the Broadway cast of COMPANY, was a guest on a radio show originating in Melbourne, Australia devoted to all things musical theatre called, BROADWAY AT BEDTIME. The show, hosted by pianist/performer, Will Conyers, is extremely popular both in that "land down under" and, every week, bends more than 100,000 pairs faithful ears in several countries.

Visit their web-site to find out more about this fun show especially designed for the theatre-wise amongst us: www.broadwayatbedtime.com

Anyhow, a recording of Matt singing a ballad of mine was played on the show. The song was enjoyed by the show's staff and listening audience, so I shared some other pieces with them in the ensuing weeks. Then, the old reliable, "one thing led to another" happened which, in turn, led to the aforementioned development: a show devoted to my work.

The on-the-phone guests on past shows have included no less than Jerry Herman, Carol Channing, Chita Rivera, Mandy Patinkin, Stephen Schwartz and many, many others. As you can well imagine, I was (and am) flattered to be asked. If you are rugged enough to wake up early this Sunday morning, I invite you to listen....and it's easy to do so on-line.

The show, being called BROADWAY AT BEDTIME, airs in Melbourne, Australia on Sunday evenings from 9:00-11:00pm. This is 7:30-9:30AM Sunday morning EST.

On the west coast, it's 4:30-7:30am, so anyone of you who is up at THAT time will definitely receive a gold star. Here's how to listen...

At a little before 7:30 this Sunday AM, 4/22, simply go to the site of the radio station: www.joy.org.au

Click on the blue circle that reads, "LISTEN".
Then, click on the one of the 4 listening mechanisms which apply to you:
Media Player - Real Player - Winamp - iTunes ...

..and that's it. You'll start hearing the show. The pre-recorded segment will begin at 7:30am EST. The phone interview with me is at 8:40am EST.

I have done one show like this in the past, but it was for about 10 minutes and featured only one song. This will be the first time a great deal of my work will sail over the air-waves so, appropriately, I am on air about it...and, besides,
I always look my best on the radio.

Here's hoping all is well with all and, if possible, thanks for lending your ear.

As Ever,

Charlie"

Update from Charles is that it's now online to listen to!

"I'm pleased to announce that BAB has posted a Podcast (or, as they call it, a "BAB-Cast") of the program they devoted to my songs so, if you missed it in April, you can catch it here. The link to the BAB site is: www.broadwayatbedtime.com "
