I am still astounded by the show ! Just got back from today's
matinee, and other than "Death of a Salesman", I have never felt so riveted by a piece of theater ! When you have twelve actors, and cant decide which one was the best, you really have something !! 1 hour and 40 mins, and it felt like 30 minutes, and we could have gone 3 hours with this tremendous cast !
When Peter Friedman gave his solo speech towards the end, you could literally hear a pin drop in the theater. Friedman, Gaines, Bosco, and others... BRAVO !!!
Get thee to this show !!!! Incredible !!

Not a weak link in the cast.
An astonishing production.
The three standouts were Aldredge, Bryggman and Bosco.
Bosco needs to clear off some shelf space.

Posted: 1/1/05 at 9:34pmThanks for posting your reviews about '12AM'. I've been meaning to see it for 2 weeks now. You've all convinced me to head over to NYC next weekend to take in this play. I've grown tired of jukebox musicals and need a little more adult fare. My favorite straight plays are 'Proof' and 'Master Harold and the Boys'. Both are must-sees as well!

Posted: 1/2/05 at 2:10amHow is the mezzanine at the American Airlines? I'm trying to get last minute tickets for next weekend but I don't know if a show like this is acceptable in the mezzanine.

I sat second row mezzanine, slighly to the right.
The view was perfect.
There really isn't a bad seat in AA Theatre.

Posted: 1/2/05 at 2:15amI saw it locally in a black box theater, theater-in-the-round style, and I loved it. I was wondering how it would be on a stage...i take it that's it's awesome. I'll see that when I go up to NY in March.

Thanks! It seems from what I've seen of the set design that it would be difficult for bad sightlines to exist....
Could this show be expected to be up at TKTS next weekend at all?

Doubt it.
It has been selling so well that it has extended its run twice.
And it was sold out when I saw it.

I've seen it three times and it doesn't lose a thing any time I see it. I've seen it from front row Orch, last row Mezz, and second row Orch and they're all good seats.
You know its a fantastic show when no matter where you sit you feel like you're the only one in the theater because you're so drawn into the characters and the plot so much even if you're far away.
