From the begining I felt the whole concept was a bad idea and couldn't understand why anyone would go for it ($$$ money wise)
I know Twyla has a brilliant rep and "Movin' Out " was a success ( Not necc by my standards) but still the songs of Bob Dylan? I hear an ego @ work.

Saw the perf on THE VIEW and it seems to me keeping these actors in this production is cruelty. Filtering "Like A Rolling Stone"'s beatnik vocal stylings through trained big-Broadway vocals and hyperarticulation....I just felt embarassed for the performers.
"YA BETTER TAKE THAT DAH-MOND RING...YOU BETTER...PAWN IT BAAAYB--UH!"
I have respect for Twyla, but...ouch.

Posted: 11/4/06 at 1:13pmWhats with the bashing? It is a fun show with great dancing and tons of talent involved. The music is great! And the choreography is fantastic and entertaining. If you haven't seen the show then you really don't know what you are talking about. And these performers have now worked with the best. I don't think they are embarrassed. They have a blast doing the show and it shows! If it's not your "cup of tea" then leave it alone.
