This one takes the cake. Just saw a clip of a production of A CHORUS LINE where the "twin brothers Mike and Ike" sang "We Can Do That".

......kill me now...PLEASE.

I've got one for you: when I did Fame in high school (and did not know about licensing - I WISH I could have shut this production down), among other things, Tyrone became twins, Daris and DeVonne, and Mabel Washington became Mary Flynn because the girl playing her was Irish (though her song was still listed "Mabel's Prayer" in the program).

Illegal, folks, and playing a dangerous game. You never know if a representative of the licensing agent is in the audience. It's unlikely, but it has been known to happen. And the outcome usually isn't pretty.

Cheyenne Jackson tickled me. AFTER ordering SoMMS a drink but NOT tickling him, and hanging out with Girly in his dressing room (where he DIDN'T tickle her) but BEFORE we got married. To others. And then he tweeted Boobs. He also tweeted he's good friends with some chick on "The Voice" who just happens to be good friends with Tink's ex. And I'm still married. Oh, and this just in: "Pettiness, spite, malice ....Such ugly emotions... So sad." - After Eight, talking about MEEEEEEEE!!! I'm so honored! :-)

I know about group who did Martin Guerre and put their own version together from the two cd's that are commercially available. They also produced their own new cast recording...

And then... They had two representives of Cameron Mackintosh over who saw the show and weren't very happy. Especially because the same group also did Les Miserables and Miss Saigon. They had to pay a lot of money for the righs afterwards and they had to send every cd of Martin Guerre (called Artigat) that was left to England.

Something like this can really break a Theatre Group, but on the other hand: It's their own personal mistake. Even though they're is no legal way to do Martin Guerre.
