the only recent shows I really like are Rent, Aida, Hairspray, Wicked and Legally Blonde.

I have seen many productions of Man of La Mancha. I don't think that one would be too easy to reinvent without doing MAJOR book rewrites.

I would love to see A Chorus Line where the final number shows the selected performers in the background, singing behind the star of the show.

I think that seeing the people who had opened up to us for the past couple of hours in the same way we see them in an actual musical would be effective and heart breaking.

Blaxx, Those are not the only shows I like nor my favorites, except for Aida which I think is the best pop musical ever written. Those are the only ones that I like of the shows that have opened in recent years.
