I was just on the site for Murder Ballad, and noticed they are extended until September (good for them since this is a great show.) But, I was surprised to not see the understudies listed along with the regular cast like most shows. Even though the show extended, because it is a limited run, do they not need to hire them? Also if they do have them does anyone know who they are?

I was just at the show this afternoon and loved it! The playbill lists Josh Tower as the standby for Michael & Tom and Natalie Wachen & chauntee Irving both as standbys for both Sara and Narrator

They have to have understudies. Someone said that Jim Newman performed at 54 Below and said he was going to be in the show. I believe covering for Will when he's on vacation. And Rebecca is going to be in LOVE'S LABOUR'S in the Park so someone will have to cover for her during that time.

Rebecca Naomi Jones isn't doing the extension because of LOVE'S LABOUR'S LOST (she will return if the show becomes an open-ended run as they're hoping,) so I assume one of the two standbys will be filling in for her during that time.

Tonya Pinkins: Then we had a "Lot's Wife" last June that was my personal favorite. I'm still trying to get them to let me sing it at some performance where we get to sing an excerpt that's gone.
Tony Kushner: You can sing it at my funeral.
