I have heard for the first time this week, the song from 'Tell me on a Sunday'...........Unexpected Song, just wondering what your favourite version is, I have posted clip from utube to assist. The song just blows me away.
I have loved this song since I first got the VHS of Hey Mr Producer when Bernadette Peters sings a beautiful version - hers has always been my favourite.
Well, I can tell you that my least favourite was Idina Menzel, though the sudden look of sheer panic on her face after she got the first word out and apparently realised that she couldn't remember any more was priceless.
Bernadette Peters' version is my favourite by a mile. But I am a hit biased - Bernadette Peters singing anything would be my favourite version!

Anthony Warlow did a cracking version, you can find it on his Midnight Dreaming album. I'm a lot like bob, only with Warlow; if Warlow has done it, then that's my favourite!
Yeah, the Warlow is great, but for female singers, I prefer Brightman's. Peters' version is well acted, but she just doesn't have the range/ power for the very end
I enjoyed the version by Bernadette Peter's, has a great voice, also enjoyed Indina Menzel version, my favourite version which is unfortunately not on U Tube is Denise Van Outen.
Did Marti Webb do the original version? Looked for her on utube, not there.
Mama may slap me down, but I am fairly certain the song wasn't in the original version. Whether Marti sang it on any of her returns, (apart from the most recent tour), I don't know.
