Are you going to any? What's the package?
I'll be going to StrawHats. Haven't settled on the song yet, but I'm thinking A New World with a monologue from One for the Road by Pinter.
For those of you curious why I ask, I assimilated an audition repertoire sourcebook for musical theatre a couple of years ago that I'm looking to update. If you're interested in seeing it, lemme know!

Posted: 2/6/09 at 6:55pmI'm (hopefully) doing NETC, and will most likely do two songs and just make sure to act the $h!t out of them, since I want to show both my contemporary and legit/operatic voices, and wouldn't have time for a monologue in doing so. I was originally thinking of "Giants in the Sky" and "Metaphor," but those are both no-nos, so I'll have to find other stuff.

Unified Auditions are basically cattle calls with a boatload of companies, as well as actors, represented. Some require equity affiliation, others just about anyone can get into.
The audition package is the material you perform at the audition.
For short, unified audition package.

Posted: 2/7/09 at 9:31amI'm going to the UPTA's this weekend. Playing to your strengths and showing contrast between your song and monologue are key. I won't reveal what I'm doing but hopefully it will go well. Wish me luck!
