So I just booked my flight today to fly into the city from Tucson for Labor Day weekend. I'm getting in Thursday morning at 8:00 and was curious about how some of the Rush's have been lately. I've seen most of the shows that are open right now with the exception of Legally Blonde, Jersey Boys, Xanadu and Chorus Line. I'm not really crazy about seeing Chorus Line but the other three I'd really like to see. How are those Rush lines these days, anyone know? In addition I was thinking about trying to hit up Color Purple again, I haven't seen the show since the original cast in March '06. Thanks so much for any info you can provide for me! Well, out of those four, I would say that ACL is my favorite. It's not really one for people who only like really big productions with humongous casts and flashy scenery, but the performances are absolutely amazing.

Xanadu is probably my second favorite, for what it's worth :)

Jersey Boys is ONLY standing room only now. No rush.

Xanadu also has no rush.

Legally Blonde and A Chorus Line have rush. LB is pretty busy ~ if you're not there by 7:30/8 you're risking not getting a ticket. ACL, I'm not sure about.

See ACL, it's the best show on Bway!

See ACL! It's the best thing on Broadway right now! And there's an easy rush.

The LB rush is pretty crazy, so I'd suggest getting there before or at 8 am. Any later and you will miss out on tickets.

The only way to get cheap (and by cheap, I mean not $111) tickets to Xanadu is to get on-stage seats. They're definitely worth it though.

Thanks for the input you guys! I appreciate it a lot! I may go for a stage seat on Xanadu. I don't get into NYC until 8:00 Thurs. morning so I may try for LB on Friday then. Is Color Purple's rush pretty busy these days, too? I figure with Fantasia there are a lot of people trying to see it. Thanks a lot!

Cheers,

Christopher

Yes, THE COLOR PURPLE rush is also very busy. I reccomend getting there pretty early on a Saturday or Sunday when they have 2 performances- then you have a better chance of getting a rush seat. But yeah, either way, just get to the rush line early (probably around 7:30 or so) to get a seat. Just my suggestion :)

And yeah, I'd also reccomend seeing A CHORUS LINE because its a great show, and I'm not entirely sure, but you could proably get a rush seat on a Saturday or Sunday after you do either COLOR PURPLE or LEGALLY BLONDE rush so then you know...you'd have tickets for both times of the day. But I've never done CHORUS LINE rush, I'm just assuming.

Have fun whatever way you do it!

And have a fun time at XANADU- its awesome onstage, haha
