I need a list of at least 15 songs from various shows that are upbeat, for example, "My Strongest Suit" from AIDA and "You Can't Stop The Beat" from HAIRSPRAY.

Thanks for the help in advance!

"The Spectacle has, indeed, an emotional attraction of its own, but, of all the parts, it is the least artistic, and connected least with the art of poetry. For the power of Tragedy, we may be sure, is felt even apart from representation and actors. Besides, the production of spectacular effects depends more on the art of the stage machinist than on that of the poet."

1) We Can Do It - The Producers
2) The Morning Report - The Lion King
3) Put On Your Sunday Clothes - Hello Dolly
4) Master of the House - Les Miserables
5) Popular - Wicked

The above are some of my favorites.

My perfect day would begin at on the beach in Hana, Maui and end at a Broadway Musical.

Need them for a cast party, I will be running the tech booth (even though I am by no means a Techie, merely the only one who apparently knows how to operate a CD player).

Thanks for the suggestions! Downloading...err, retrieving now. re: re: re: re: re: re: Upbeat Bway Showtunes

You should er retrieve all the dance mixes of Broadway songs--the group who does most of them is Harajuku. You can also try looking up recent shows and songs with the key word "mix" or "remix" and see what comes up. Also: Ethel Merman's disco songs. =)

Look no further than:

Dance with the Devil
- Witches of Eastwick

The ultimate upbeat showtune.
