Urinetown November 12th

The first time I went to Urinetown I did not care for it but tonight was a very different story. I saw it with understudies that were new and it did not appeal to me.
Tonight it moved me.
Spencer Kayden was brilliant as Little Sally in fact she stole the show. She was not in it the first time I saw Urinetown.
Jeff McCarthy was another show stopper and the chemistry between them was moving.
It is a shame that Urinetown will be closing. I hope the Arca Group and Dodger move it to another theatre.
Run to the Henry Miller before Urinetown closes.
(Oh and I was very surprised how talented Charles Shaughnessy was in the role. He can sing well and really fit the role. He is also gorgeous.)

"Dreams, I've lived within my dreams now it seems I've awakened and they're real, pinch and feel. If one day I walk upon this stage from these wings and play underneath this dome, and if I sing with all my heart, I'll be home"

I am going to to NYC in two weeks, and can't make it to Urinetown. I saw it a year ago and fell in love with it and Jeff McCarthy. I so wish I could see the show one more time before it closes.

Posted: 11/13/03 at 4:51pmI thought Jeff McCarthy was great as well as Jai Rodgriguez. Unfortunately, I did not care for the show itself. I would have loved to have seen Charles Shaugnhessy in it. He is gorgeous.

Posted: 11/13/03 at 7:58pmI loved Spencer Kayden too. In fact, I think she deserved the Tony over Harriet Harris. Did you know she is the voice of Mrs. Pepper? I have the talking salt and pepper and baby paprika shakers. They're really cool.

Oh Hank Harriet was divine. I wish they would have had a tie.
Both deserved the Tony.
And now that I think about it I wish both Urinetown and Millie would have won the Tony. Both deserved it.
I have seen the light. Run Freedom Run.

Posted: 11/13/03 at 8:59pmI loved Harriet too, and I miss her in Millie, but we can still watch her and fellow Millie alum Christopher Sieber on "It's All Relative" (Wed 8:30 ABC). But I liked Spencer just a little more.

I loved both equally.
It is so sad to be all alone in the world.

Delta is pretty but she was no Mrs Meers.
So Sad to be all alone in the world.
Maybe I should get back to the stage.
That would be a blast.

Urinetown is the reason I am now such a bug Jeff Mcarthy fan. ![]()
I look foward to seeing more of him on Broadway in future shows. :)

Possibly, but there could also be local blackouts depending on the schedule of the national tour.

Glad it is closing?
Shame on you. I hate to hear good shows closing.
The only shows that I think should close are the terrible shows like:
Imaginary Friends
Urban Cowboy
Adult Entertainment
Birdy's Bachlorette Party
Stinkers!
