Valisia Lekae Little in 110 as Snookie today (7/15)

I saw 110 In The Shade today and Valisia was in as Snookie (Carla Duren's usually in). She was great ~ a slightly more mature Snookie than Carla's. I loved the different take.

The whole thing was amazing as usual. There was a bit of a tempo problem in "Lizzie's Commin Home" and "Poker Polka" ~ but I could see one of the televisions the actors are supposed to be able to use to see the conductor and it wasn't on. They made it work though.

Audra was even better than I'd seen her before. Her "Old Maid" just gets better and better!!! She was rushing to get to the airport for a plane to LA about an hour after the show, but she made sure everyone who was outside got an autograph ~ no pictures today, which was cool. She explained.

Cannot wait until splash seat on Friday!!!!

Havent seen her yet as Snookie, Jordan--- Actually, have yet to see an understudy in "110"- The entire cast has had a great attendance record !! I DO think that Carla would make a great Celie !!!

Glad you enjoyed it !! (as usual :))

She's always brought tears to my eyes with it, but today I was bawling. The woman next to me reached in her purse and gave me a couple of tissues. Off the hook!!

She did on Mother's Day. I don't know...I thought she usually did too. re: Valisia Lekae Little in 110 as Snookie today (7/15)

She usually does come out after matinees, but certain times she has to go pick up her daughter before the evening show, so she might not sign, but she always explains the situation.

Actually, it is adorable watching her literally run to go get her little girl !!!

Wasn't she out for a couple of performances after her father died?
I am a firm believer in serendipity- all the random pieces coming together in one wonderful moment, when suddenly you see what their purpose was all along.

They cancelled a couple of performances after her father died, but she performed the ones before and after those cancelled ones. I don't THINK she's missed any.

She hasn't missed any. If Audra were going to miss a performance, Roundabout would just cancel it and offer refunds/exchanges.

I'm going to see it for the second time this Wednesday night from a splash seat! I'm so excited! re: Valisia Lekae Little in 110 as Snookie today (7/15)

I was at yesterday's matinee too! It was heaven! I can't believe she's gotten even better from when I saw the show right after it opened...but she has. Old Maid was out of this world and damn did she just rip into that song like it was no one's bussiness. I was also crying my eyes out. I really liked the understudy for Snookie, not that I didn't miss Carla but Little seemed a little more subtle and human in the part. I was wondering if that was her first time on. She did a great job either way. Bobby Steggert just gets better every time and Audra's chemistry with Steve Kazee is just as intense as before. I just can't wait to see it one more time before I go home. I'm such in awe of this performance that she gives EVERY night. She's inccredible and even in a hurry she was so nice at the stagedoor. I really hope everyone can catch this show before it closes.

ps. Lonny Price was there too and before the show I just wandered over his way and thanked him for such a beautiful, touching production and he was so kind and appreciative.
RIP Natasha Richardson. ~You were a light on this earth ~

It really is a gorgeous production. I wish it could stay on Broadway longer. I love great mountings of old fashioned shows, and this one is top notch all around.

Any chance Audra will be back around the 17th or the 18th because I'm seeing the show on one of those days? At this moment, the reprise of The Rain Song popped up on my iPod shuffle.

There was no indication from anyone that she wouldn't be back for tomorrow night's show. And I'm sure we would have heard about it by now.

I would think so. I mean, if she got there yesterday afternoon, she could be there all day today and leave sometime tomorrow and be back.

She did about as whirlwind when her father was killed.

re: Valisia Lekae Little in 110 as Snookie today (7/15)

I was at the July 15th matinee also, and I think Little's performance is waaaaaay better than the original cast member's performance, which struck me as irritatingly over-the-top. With Little in the cast, and the rest of the wonderful cast in place, this matinee performance was stronger than the one I saw toward the beginning of the run. The folks around me, who were seeing it for the first time, were cheering and crying at the curtain calls. And La McDonald was fantabulous once again, and, yes, even better than that in "Old Maid." It is an amazingly vivid performance, and one that rivals Ebersole's--if ever there were a reason for a Tony tie it was having these two performances in a single season.
