Vanesssa Redgrave out of MISS DAISY?

I was planning to see the play on Sat, but someone connected with the show told me Vanessa may be out due to a knee injury. Anyone know for sure?

No, she's still playing Hoke; Haley Joel Osment is now Daisy. It's non-traditional on a few levels, but not the obvious one...

When I read "Vanessa Williams," I thought, well, she BETTER be out of Miss Daisy, since I paid $200 bucks to see her perform in Miami this Saturday!

Williams will be doing a concert. Williams was never in Miss Daisy.

Yes, indeed, Vanessa Redgrave was out of MISS DAISY this afternoon (she's injured her knee) and Maureen Anderman gave a luminous performance in her place.

It was an extremely satisfying afternoon in the theatre.

I keep warning Miss Redgrave to stay off the rugby pitch, but she is the best full-back in the league.

I really enjoyed seeing Maureen Anderman in the role. I'd enjoyed her work in the original SEASCAPE, playing a lizard opposite Frank Langella, and as Honey in WHO'S AFRAID OF VIRGINIA WOOLF? with Colleen Dewhurst and Ben Gazzara. She was an excellent Miss Daisy.
