Variety hosts 'Moulin Rouge!' reunion/Q&A with Baz Luhrmann & Broadway cast and creatives

Variety will reunite the cast and creatives of ''Moulin Rouge! The Musical'' for a special streaming event on Monday, Oct. 26, at 5 p.m. (EST).

The virtual conversation will feature Tony-nominated performers Karen Olivo, Aaron Tveit, Danny Burstein, Sahr Ngaujah and Robyn Hurder.

They'll be joined by fellow Tony nominees: director Alex Timbers, bookwriter John Logan, music supervisor Justin Levine and choreographer Sonya Tateh.

Baz Luhrmann will be a special guest, and there'll be a premiere of a new music video of ''Come What May'' with Olivo and Tveit.

I'm joining, even though MR really let me down- most of the changes from the Boston tryout made the show worse. It certainly had some shining moments, but it wasn't fantastic overall to begin with. The show needs to be reworked very badly for a B'way reopening and/or future incarnations; I hope the creative team uses this next year or so wisely. 

I liked the movie, though, and Burstein, Levine, Luhrmann, Timbers, and Tayeh will make this Q&A worthwhile.
