Venue Swap

Hello all,
If you could take a show currently playing on Broadway and transfer it into a different theatre, no matter whether or not a show is running there or not, which would you change and where to?
I would move Pippin into the Circle in the Square theatre and Wicked into the Vivian Beaumont theatre.

You have chosen to take two shows that are staged in conventional prosceniums and transferred them to Broadway's two thrust stages. Are you supposing that the shows would be modified for such a transfer? Pretty sure they're both pretty happy with how they use their proscenium stages...
Words don't deserve that kind of malarkey. They're innocent, neutral, precise, standing for this, describing that, meaning the other, so if you look after them you can build bridges across incomprehension and chaos. But when they get their corners knocked off, they're no good anymore…I don't think writers are sacred, but words are. They deserve respect. If you get the right ones in the right order, you can nudge the world a little.

I would move Cinderella to the Palace because i think they can do some clever advertising with 'Cinderella at the Palace'

Not sure where I'd move it, but I would move Cinderella. Saw it today and was astonished at how small the theatre was! Albeit a ton of seats were empty. :/

You thought the Broadway Theater was small? The only theaters bigger than the Broadway are The Gershwin Theater and The Foxwood.

The Winter Garden seems to be a bigger venue as well.

One of my wishes came true in 2013. Mama Mia! vacated the Winter Garden. Not crazy about the prospect of Rocky, but hopefully something else will come in so I can see the theater. Likewise, I'd love Phantom to vacate the Majestic and something other than Disney shows I'm unlikely to see to play the New Amsterdam.

Although the Book of Mormon is best in a smaller venue like its current home, it would be interesting to see what would happen to their sales and premium pricing in a large house like the Palace.
