Nice clip - thanks!
For more Bob Fosse, check out the 1955 MY SISTER EILEEN (on DVD). Billed as Robert Fosse, he also choreographed this terrific musical. Watch his big dance number with Tommy Rall - everything you know about Fosse choreography had its seeds in this one number.
I'm waiting for a another MGM gem to appear on DVD - GIVE A GIRL A BREAK not only has Fosse, but also Gower Champion.
Here's Nothing Is Impossible" from Give a Girl a Break with Fosse, Gower Champion and Kurt Kasznar. (The singing is in Englash but the dialogue is in, what? Portuguese?)

And here's Fosee and Tommy Rall doing the challenge dance from My Sister Eileen:

The 'challenge' dance is actually titled "The Alley Dance", and it was a dream for Bob Fosse to choreograph since it was for him and Tommy Rall, a ballet dancer... something Bob Fosse was not. The entire number showcases all of Bob Fosse's strengths (the acrobatics, the quick footwork, the jazz infusion), so its fascinating to see a ballet dancer (Rall) emulating Bob Fosse's own style.
Also, this number was recreated for FOSSE (Scott Wise danced the Bob Fosse role), but was removed from the show during its pre-Broadway stop in Los Angeles. I have footage of the entire number but recently YouTube removed a slab of clips I had posted so I need to locate another site to post this clip. Any suggestions, folks?
Fosse looks fantastic simply sitting on his ass watching Gwen Verdon work (and was there EVER a better dancer's ass than her's? Watch it work this number....)
