She wasn't there Friday night but maybe she has triskodecophobia.
I saw Patti.
Sounds reasonable. After almost a year in that vocally challenging role, I'm sure Victoria's voicebox could use a well-deserved break.
What does anyone know of, opinions of Patti Cohenour?
Now who's going on for Patti at matinees?
Eug, I first saw Cohenour in DROOD. She has one of the purest, sweetest, strongest, most technically perfect, glorious sopranos you'll ever hear.

this will be nice for patti, it will give her more time to shine i think- she is really talented, but her part is so small (but she sure makes the most of it: "i dont speak english but i have to tell you!" :) )
and victoria will get a nice break...

Patti was very good Friday night, got a great hand and kept kissing Katie Clark at the end of the show.
Patti's replacement from her regular role was (goes to the Playbill to check the dreaded "at this performance" slip) was Diane Sutherland.
I'm assuming Diane Sutherland will play Signora at the matinees, because she's a swing and isn't in the ensemble regularly (unlike the other Signora understudy, Felicity LaFortune).
Good for Patti for getting a crack at Margaret twice a week, and good for Vicki for getting much needed rest.
wexy, i was there on Friday too. it was my sixth time seeing the show, but my first time with Patti. She was fabulous. I would love to see her interpretation of the role again.
I saw Patti this past Saturday and she did a fabulous job! Although I was looking forward to seeing Vicki again, I was pleased with Patti's performance! She did an incredible job.
In a meet and greet with the cast after the show, on the way out I asked her:
"Oh, and where did you study voice?"
"I didn't."

Get out of town... that is friggin' impressive.
Go Patti!

FYI to those who didn't notice it...
The official release about this was just put up, and the shows Vicki will not be in are Tuesday and Wednesday evenings.

she'll be at matinees, she won't be at tuesday and wednesday nights. and it doesn't start until february 28th.
it's an awkward schedule to me i think. but i guess she wants more weeknights at home with her son?

That's actually what the Playbill release says.
