Video Tribute to Idina Menzel

I found this link and thought IM fans would enjoy it. It's a video tribute to her. Scroll to the bottom of the page to view.

I hope this hasn't been posted. I did attempt several searches but didn't go through the 1000's that popped up.

Enjoy!

Lol B'way Theatre. I thought the same thing. It's not a video tribute...It's a Requiem!

(Actually, it was kind of nice, but I want the orchestral thing they played.)
"Do you know what pledge time is, Andrew"? said the PBS Executive. "Yes", Lloyd Webber replied. "My 50th birthday special must be one program that gets done a lot." "No", mused the man from PBS heedlessy. "Not so much. Our Stephen Sondheim Carnegie Hall concert. That's a big one." Spoons, forks and knives seemed suddenly to suspend their motion in horror, all around the table.

I think if idina were here, she wouldn't want us to be sad. I think she would want us to be celbebrating, and havinga fun time...

It's not that it's not sweet, but really, you'd think she died or something

re: Video Tribute to Idina Menzel

I agree, it was a bit too much, like the kind of tribute given after the death of a star, and Idina is alive and well and moving on to bigger and hopefully even better things. On the other hand, it does demonstrate the impact Idina and Elphaba and Wicked have had on so many people. Besides the amazing score, spectacular staging, and powerful performances, the show also sends a message of love and acceptance which has impacted many people, and I think especially the many Elphabas (teen girls who feel a bit outcast) who've seen the show. I have a feeling that sensitivesoul18@aol, who made the "tribute" may just be one of those girls.

...like no one has ever fallen down a hole before...

Honestly though, I hope she feels better.

TGIF, etheb and I are standing around my laptop, and we just watched. I almost choked on my lunch.

Come on, people. She's still alive! And hey... like Schwartz wrote, "no one mourns the Wicked." He may not have won the Tony, but listen to him!! TGIF and I walked by the Gershwin today, and I starting babbling about how I was going on a hunger strike for Idina. I hope people didn't hear and I think I was serious.

*facebpalm*
I don't know what to think!

re: Video Tribute to Idina Menzel

That's just crossing the line between sweet and totally ridiculous, I think. Kristin wasn't appreciated like that.

And am I the only one who really wasn't overly-fond of her performance as Elphaba?

re: Video Tribute to Idina Menzel

And I thought the candle lit vigils were going overboard....now there are tribunes??? She isnt dead, she cracked a rib. She is healing quickly and is set to start rehersals for RENT in a week or two. Its crazy how serious some people are taking this, its not like she is lying in a coma at a hospital on the verge of death.
I wanted to get something that an "ex"-junkie like him would really appreciate and cherish....it's a brick of heroin shaped like a heart. -Scrubs

Actually, Idina is fully recovered and doing well.

i can't turn the volume up right now, but I think if elton john's 'candle in the wind' were playing it would be the perfect crowning touch. also i keep hearing all this about donating money for the tsunami, but none about donating to idina? isn't anyone going to start a fund for her?

re: Video Tribute to Idina Menzel

You're not the only one. I love Idina, but not as Elphaba. She's an amazing Maureen and I loved her Kate in Wild Party, but I am not a fan of her Elphaba.

re: Video Tribute to Idina Menzel

That was going overboard...I was watching it ready to cry because it seemed like she had died. Very cool though...the person who made it is very creative:)
