There are now video clips of 8 songs from BASED ON A TRUE STORY (the new musical by composer Christopher J. Orton and myself which we showcased at the Jermyn Street theatre last Sunday night) available to watch online. They were filmed during the dress rehearsal of the show. We had a brilliant cast of 12, including the fabulous John Barr, the equally fabulous Claire-Marie Hall (Cosette in Les Miserables, Gabriella in High School Musical) and the awesome Jonathan Eio (Songs For A New World, Into The Woods).
Please take a look and listen and give some feedback (something that new musical theatre writing desperately needs). You can watch them on Youtube or via the link to the show's website below.
The selection includes some beautiful ballads and poignant dramatic moments as well as crowd-pleasing comedy numbers (including Jodie Beth Meyer's knock-out performance of "A Nymphomaniac's Aria" - which brought the house down on the night). Hope you enjoy
