Anyone sat here yet? The warnings are dire (don't even THINK of having to pee!). I imagine you can't have a bottle of water up there? Can coats go on laps or under seats or might we have to check them?

I want to know if the back row of the onstage seating is very obstructed or not. I sat mezz last time, but want to go back this week.

I think I remember putting mine under the seat. They're actually benches so prepare to get to know your neighbor. I had a coughing fit at the climax. I swear Mark Strong was giving me the death stare. Yes don't drink anything before hand. I never do when I go to the theater and don't understand people who do. Other than that it's a fantastic experience. I wouldn't even think of sitting in the theater for this.

Your coat can go under your seat. I took a bottle of water in my pocket but didn’t drink it for obvious reasons. If going two hours without a bathroom break presents a problem, you probably shouldn’t be sitting onstage for an intermissionless show.
I was three rows from the back and didn’t have any obstruction issues. I’d hazard the last row didn’t, either.

I've never left a show for a bathroom break. Hell, I never go during intermission, so that's no problem. I do like to have a bottle of water to fight off potential coughs, maybe I'll just have some previously unwrapped cough drops at the ready.
Sounds like the benches have backs and pads, so shouldn't be too uncomfortable.

I sat in the fourth row onstage. My seat was perfectly comfortable and afforded an amazing view. Well worth getting up a little early to rush that $20 seat. Best value on Broadway, especially for the breathtaking last several minutes of the play.

Been onstage 2 times...not uncomfortable at all. coat or whatever can go under seat or on lap, no problem. Once sat row F, other tim row A (which was awesome)!

Does it matter with the onstage seating if you sit closer to one side of the row than another? Hoping to go this week.

I sat in the center of front row on stage right (audience left), along the aisle. Incredible experience! No water bottles, no candy, no bathroom break - so definitely go to the bathroom before the show begins. I put my coat and bag underneath my chair, plenty of room there. I had unwrapped cough drops in my pocket just to make sure I didn't cough during the show.
The stage seating ushers are very clear in instructions and give you the spiel twice before you sit. And one of them is the designated usher that will sit off to the side and help direct you if for any emergency reason you need to leave (obviously cannot return).
Highly recommended, it was so immersive.

Amazing.
We were second row, middle of the aisle, stage left.
To be able to turn your head to the left and see 1000 faces just watching this great performance was incredible. Look up and see the ceiling of the theater SO far above you. I'm not sure I can sit in the orchestra or Mezz again for another show!
Like the others have said, plenty of room under your seat for your coat. The seats are on benches, well padded. It's a bit tight but there's enough room. Not a ton of legroom as there is a back to the benches that reaches the floor in front of you, but good enough. And the actors are ridiculously close to you and deliver some of their lines directly at you.
Really great production. Wish I had seen the Liev Schreiber version to be able to compare them.

I'm going tonight and sitting on the stage seats. Row G, stage left. Very excited!
