Violet Rush Tickets

I have a question. Rush Report shows that you only have a 10% chance of getting rush tix with this message:

Violet Weekdays: 6 people in line by 9:30 AM. Sold Out Rush Tickets online at Hiptix. Weekends: 9 people in line by 9:40 AM.

Does that mean that all of the rush tickets are sold via Hiptix? Just wondering if there is any chance of getting tickets by rushing at the box office.

Debra, I picked up a $32 rush ticket Wednesday night by going to the box office at 6:30 p.m. There were plenty of seats in the theater.

Thanks so much! Do you think the same would go for the Sunday, 2pm show or would it be best to go closer to when the box office opens?

It's a Roundabout production so there may be more in attendance on a Sunday afternoon. I was a bit surprised by the number of empty seats. Check the box office hours for Sunday, it's usually different.

I picked up a rush ticket for today's (sunday) show at around 12:30pm. 4th row mezz, totally fine view.

Glad I only spent $37 on the show. Count me in as one who found it rather boring.

We're were your rush seats? Same as hiptix (rear mezz) seats?

Our rush tix were rear mezz but a few rows closer than the hiptix we bought a few weeks before the show. Either were just fine, no complaints at all with the seats!

Every time I've gone online to try and find a HipTix for the show it's said they were all sold-out. Wish I had read this thread before it opened. I'm sure it's a harder ticket to get now.

I picked up at $37 rush ticket last Wednesday at 10.30am. They gave me the choice between last row mezzanine (full view) or mezzanine box (restricted view).

I am going to be in NY from June 2-8 and won't be able to rush in the morning- I would love to buy general rush tickets but won't be able to until 6:30 each night. Does anyone know if the box office will sell any remaining Mezz. seats at the rush price until curtain?? I would also love any advice on other cheaper ticket options- not sure they exist for this production though. Thank you!!

I walked up to the box office at around 11 AM today and was able to purchase a ticket for the 8 PM performance. It was in the right box and labeled partial view. However, the house manager was kind enough to allow us to move into seats open in the balcony after everyone was seated. So, I ended up seeing the show from the first row of the balcony.

Had you stayed in the box seats- would you have been able to see more than 50% of the stage- just trying to gage how bad they are! Also- any ideas strict is roundabout on the student rush 1/2 price tickets with i.d.- does a faculty university I.D. if it doesn't actually say 'faculty" but just the university??

So I'm confused, is there rush or isn't there? Broadway Spotted rush report says 0% chance of tickets. Has anyone tried to rush lately? I'm in town later this week and was hoping to rush Saturday...

I rushed last Saturday at about 11am for the 8pm show and ended up getting three seats together in the last row, which I thought were great
