So I've been kind of obsessed with this thought of making a tarot deck using the stories of musicals as the basis of each card. Like using Pippin on the Fool, Carrie as the Tower, and A Chorus Line on Judgement.
Am I nuts?

Yeah, it's a little nuts. That's not to say people wouldn't buy them, though. :)
not crazy... i own a deck called whimsical tarot with illustrations relating to childhood stories- the moral of the fairytale is meant to help you grasp the meaning of the card.
Where were you twenty years ago when I had two friends who were obsessed with both Tarot and Broadway?
Depending on the quality and style of the artwork, I'd consider buying a deck.

I agree with patronus. I don't understand or follow tarot, but I do think they are pretty.

You could get Tricia Walsh Smith to do the infomercials...
Andrew Lloyd-Webber could be on the Devil card
Naked Boys Singing as the King of Wands?
I LOVE it! I also think it would be fun to do a series of decks based on different musicals. And even for people who aren't into tarot necessarily, the cards would be pretty to own, right?
I've never been into Tarot Cards but a broadway inspired Tarot deck might change that. If you can pull it off than I say go for it!
