I didn't see a previous thread going for this show yet and I haven’t heard much buzz. The play is an intimate gem from the 80s, later adapted into a film in ‘94. The play itself is about a date between two lonely coworkers at a law firm. It’s a simple set up, but I found it a lovely piece of writing and really enjoyed the way the play slowly reveals its characters. Great direction and a beautiful performance from Corey Stoll. However, I cannot believe everyone isn’t talking about the wonder that is Cecily Strong. She is incredible in this piece—funny, quirky, hopeful, broken, human. She had me in the palm of her hand from the jump, pushing and pulling at all of my heartstrings. If you’ve enjoyed her on SNL, you owe it to yourself to see this.  Running in rep with New Born until June 14th.
