WICKED Cast Changes!

Does anyone know of any upcoming cast changes? I'm seeing the show on thursday, and I assume the cast will be the same until then! (I am SOOO excited about Carol Kane as Madame Morrible!)

Maybe you should change the exclamation point in the subject header to a question mark, in order to more accurately reflect your post.

The current cast is fairly new, for the most part, so I don't think any cast changes have been annouced as of yet.

Megan's gone at the end of May *unless she extends*
Ben's gone in July *unless he extends agan*
Eden's gone in October *unless she extends*

That's what I thought, but everytime I get Bway tickets, I worry if they'll just completely change the cast to a bunch of crappy No-names. (I KNOW that the likelyhood of that happening is slim, but I worry a lot)

Yea, the entire cast (except for Carol and Ben) are no names.

Aw, come on...it's not fair to call someone a "crappy no-name" after all we all start somewhere. Sutton Foster, Idina Menzel, even Chita Rivera were all "crappy no-names" at one point...

I understand your desire to see actors you're familiar with, but you'd be surprised how great "crappy No-names" can be.

Go out of Times Square and Sutton Foster, Idina Menzel, and Chita Rivera are STILL no-names. They're not crappy, though. And there's nothing wrong with being a no-name.

There was a good quote by idina saying how she's sort of reluctant to let her Broadway fame seap in. When she walks away from the stage door, people could care less about wanting her autograph. And she says that anyone outside of NYC doesn't know who she is - hence why she's gun-shy about her new album.

Ben is gone in May and is being replaced by David Garrison from the tour. Megan is also leaving in May. Cristy Candler leaves in March and is being replaced by Jenna Leigh Green from the tour. Eden leaves in August, and due to recent rumors that Julia is only contracted on tour till then, will probably be replaced by Julia Murney from the tour.

When I said they weren't "no-names" I meant they had a name in the theater world...I'm assuming Playbill didn't want to see "no-names" of the theater world...

You are in luck. They are actually changing the entire cast 2/3 through the 2nd act on Friday. If you are seeing the show on Thursday, you should be fine!

Sorry Folks, I really only meant that I was excited about the current cast, and would be disappointed if it were to change durastically before I see it. Rest assured that I am fully informed in the area of current broadway happenings, and I don't consider someone a "No Name" simply because I haven't seen them in the movies.

Thank you for taking my question as it was intended and providing me with the information I needed.

Megan will be out on Thursday! She's on vacation. You'll most likely be seeing Katie Adams who is amazing in the role! I think you'll really enjoy her. Or there is the slight chance you'll see her understudy Megan Sikora. I know she'll be going on at some point when Megan is on vacation, I just don't know when.

Y never know - the day of you may see the understudies...as happened to me in Dec 04 - both Idina and JLT were out that night. I was less than pleased, but some chick named Soshana played Elphaba and a total "no-name" made her B'way debut that night, what was her name....oh yeah, Megan Hilty played Glinda. While disappointed that I didn't see Idina or JLT, Soshana and Megan were very good...
