"I had a nightmare that i was in a german production of Wicked... i was the standby for Kristin"

Holy ****, i about snorted pop out my nose!!!!!! Seriously, I love how critics dump on Wicked and for all I know maybe it IS a horrible show (I have seen it four times in the last week thanks to my incredible luck with the lotto in Seattle!!), but the people love it, like the person who pointed out Wicked threads are all over the place. As I always say, a musical doesn't have to have earth shattering themes to be entertaining!

My avatar is a reminder to myself. I need lots of reminders...

well, let's just hope, that they will look for the best performer instead of someone who looks like Idina.

I mean, the US Elphabas couldn't be more diffrent: Idina, Shoshana, Stephanie, Ana, Kristy, Eden, Saycon.

I really, really hope, now that the show is going international, that Elphaba is not a certain type.

I have the strange feeling that they will put something like "How to solve a problem like Elphaba" on German TV...

Yuck!
In the real world the only people who burst into song are the hopelessly deranged...

re: WICKED Flies Into Germany in 2007!

Yeah or something like "Deutschland sucht den gruner Superstar"
Mit Uwe Kroger als Dieter Bohlen
Romy Haag als Shona Fraser
und Heino als Heinz Henn

But why start a casting show when Daniel Küblböck is around, he would make a great Elphie don't you think re: WICKED Flies Into Germany in 2007!

re: WICKED Flies Into Germany in 2007!

That is a vast nightmare, beuk!

Although I would like to see it, as long as they let them sing songs from musicals of differing periods and styles. A little Rodgers, a little Coleman, a little Sondheim, a little Larson *lol* and eventually avoid singing a little Schwartz.

But seriously, the reason why I'd hate it, is that they'd just be cast with singing square current pop songs...

I would totally go see this if Aris Sas was Fiyero.
