Last night 2/8 I went to the Wicked lottery. When I got to the table where you write your name on the index card and submit it, I had to wait awhile b/c a group of about 8 tourists from Germany were standing around and talking to the lottery guy.
When the lottery guy started calling names FOUR of the people from that group were picked enabling all 8 of them to go. Does that seem a little fishy to anyone????? What are the chances that so many people from one group would be picked?
I would say there were about 60 people at the lottery last night, not a lot, but I think that the chances of an entire group winning tickets is still very slim.
There have been several other times that I've been to the lottery and something like that has happened but never to such a large extent.
I've gone to the lottery about 30 times and I've only won once - am I not tipping the lottery dude enough?
Does anybody else think that the lottery guy might be up to something shady?
I doubt it. Could be, but I doubt it.
I've tried the Wicked Lottery 5 times, and lost everytime. But I think I've said this before on here, but everytime I go, theres these two girls, who are there everytime. They win every single time, and at this point they dont even get excited, they just get in the winners line, and start calling people on their cell phones to get them to come to the show. Ugh I just hate it. The lottery guy knows them by name (does he still wear that black beer sweat****?) and always ask is they need the tickets. Anyway end Rant.

The only time I've ever won the lottery is when the other guy does the lottery - the one that DOESN'T wear that stupid black sweatshirt. I HATE his stupid sweatshirt!
Of course it's not fixed. How can it be? Do you think he was hiding the cards of the German girls in his sleeve and pulled them out when he thought the time was right?
Me and a friend have tried the Wicked lottery about 30 times, I have won once, he has won about 15 times. He's just lucky.
Whoever said that they tried the lottery 5 times and witnessed that these two girls won every time, they also were just lucky. And what has the fact about them not getting excited anymore got to the with the fact that the lottery was fixed? I didn't get excited when I won it, you don't have to start screaming and bouncing up and down when you win it. It's not mandatory, you know.
So stop being so bitter about not winning it and actually bother to really watch the guy who's doing the lottery next time you try. It's not fixed.

haha Mirramar... both times I've won they've been under unusual circumstanes also... the first time was when a different guy did it, not the one in the sweatshirts and aviator glasses... and the second time they held it inside cause it was FREEZING and like 400 people crammed into the lobby.
Good times...

Queen Muppet, believe me, I'm not bitter, I've seen the show several times regardless of my lack of luck. (I've learned to go up to other pairs of people that are in the lottery and ask them to accept tickets if both people win).
My friend that went w/ me to the lottery last night just told me that he heard the lottery guy tell the tourist group that they should put their names in last. Interesting. . . hmmmm?
I forgot to mention that the group that won were a bunch of VERY hot blond girls wearing EXTREMELY short skirts.
Maybe that helps? :)
Mirramar, I have offered the guy sexual favours in return for letting me win the lottery and it didn't work. So I doubt that wearing a little skirt (in FEBRUARY!!!!) works...
ANYWAY, I honestly don't believe that the lottery is fixed in any way. Watch the guy when he's actually pulling the names, it's impossible.

OY. I won on the first try.
If i can win, it is not rigged.
Wish i could win the Q lottery. SIGH.
Aww, Corine :) Have you tried DRS lotto yet?
Nope. I don't have time to see it at the moment.

It's not fixed. When I was at the lottery I paid close attention to the guy and sure enough he shook them up a lot and right then I knew. there is no way this is fixed. it's really all about luck. While I was saying that to myself and watching him sure enough the name I watched him pick was mine! All about luck! AND it was Idina's last FULL performance. I didn't SHOW excitment at all. Does that mean I wasn't excited. No, it just means I was by myself and didnt want to look like a geek and start jumping up and down because that wouldnt of looked cool. lol

Ok, before I start, YES, I know I'm a lottery addict.
I don't even go for myself anymore, I just go to help my friends increase their odds.
Tonight when I went to the lottery there was ANOTHER group of German tourists. 4 of their names were called enabling all of them to win tickets!
Maybe it's not fixed, but I still think that's a very strange coincidence.
Mirrar,
Pot calling the kettle black? Going to lotto with no intention of seeing the show, just to fix it better for your friends is dubious in itself :)
(I do it, too)

I've done the whole lotto thing quite a bit. Sometimes there are a few people, sometimes a billion. Never won. I don't think it is fixed.
Oh, and Corine! Get to DRS as soon as possible!

i think the bigger crime would have been if 12 people flew here from germany to see a broadway show and couldnt.
of course if *I* was flying half way across the world, i wouldve bought my tix in advance.
i doubt its fixed, but i think its very easy to fix if they wanted to.

I don't think it's fixed because I won once out of my 2 times trying it. Also, I do find it suspicious that 8 German people were there and 4 of them won, winning 8 tickets. Could it be possible that he knows their names and when he pulls a card out, doesn't read the actual card and just says "John Smith" when the card could say "John Doe"
If it is fixed, then it is definitely against me...I've lost every time

My vote is it is not fixed. Last time I won, Joe (the lotto guy in the black) asked me how I keep winning, and I said I have no idea, just lucky I guess. I have now seen the show 18 times, 14 of it by lottery. That is after A LOT of tries though. And I hope I am not one of the 2 girls you all are talking about, I bring different kids with me every time I go though, so I don't think it's me.

i've been kind of reluctant to try the wicked lottery. will it be a waste of time? is there ANY chance i will win? cause if there's 100+ people, i'm not bothering...

probably 99% of the time there is more than 100 people. Even on rainy/snowy/disgusting days there are a lot of people out there! I don't see it as a waste of time unless you really want to see a show because the chances of winning are 1/# of people there
