WICKED - Updates?

I have been muchly behind in following up on many things. How is WICKED coming along? Has any cast been announced?

not much. three principals are gone and two have already been replaced. they are bringing in two standbys (for the two ladies) and that is about it.

Kristin Chenoweth as Glinda, the Good Witch, Idina Menzel as Elphaba, the Wicked Witch of the West, Robert Morse as The Wizard, Christopher Fitzgerald as Boq, Carole Shelley as Madame Morrible, Norbert Leo Butz as Fiyero, Michelle Federer as Nessarose and William Youmans as Doctor Dillamand.

Well, they should be announcing this "major" re-casting pretty soon. The show starts rehearsals soon.

Wow, Joel Gray instead of Robert Morse!

I was looking forward to seeing Morse... I played Tackaberry in HOW TO SUCCEED in a few years back, and loved the movie version. But Joel Gray is someone I've always wanted to see!

When I saw Wicked in SF, I wondered if Robert Morse would remain. I guessed correctly on the other cast change. Even still, it was a great show and I'm looking forward to seeing it again on Broadway. To those who already have tickets, enjoy!
