WIGGING out about The Wedding Singer!

I have not yet had time to get out to NYC to catch the show, but something that peeked my curiosity is the wig that was apparently designed for ROBBIE (played by Stephen Lynch), but is only worn occaisionaly. Is this a choice that Lynch made, or an artistic decision?

It looked dumb, and Lynch has said he's glad they got rid of it.

yeah, I had just seen it in a few publicity shots and preview photos and wondered about the show's continuity.

I think the wig was dropped either during or after the Seattle run.

If you look at some of the press clips - like when Amy dumps water on herself at the end of SNITC you can see (changed direction) Lynch with the wig sitting in front of the shower.

The wig disappeared once they left Seattle (thank God).

Was it even a wig at all? It looks like he can grow that pretty easily.

yes it was a wig, which he HATED. It only lasted thru Seattle much to my disappointed when I saw the dress rehearsal in NY. I was so looking forward to teasing him. But it really does look better w/out it.
