Agreed.
Michael, Maria, Set design....
Something needs to be mentioned.
Dissapointed, to say the least.

What set design? It was mostly projections.
Seriously, I don't mean to be insulting, but of all the awards it could have been nominated for, set design is not one of them.
I am surprised about Maria, however.

The set was inventive. As the first zoetrope musical on broadway, it should be recognized. Projections are still considered set and they created the show's atmosphere.
I love Sweeney, but the set is not the thing I would nominated. Give mano a nomination and forget about that set.

Posted: 4/27/06 at 1:27pmThank you for starting this thread. The other thread that is almost 6 pages long now just doesn't do justice to the injustice of the ALW snub. This definitely deserved it very own thread!

::sticks tongue out at the drama desk people::
Silly people...
"If we don't live happily ever after at least we survive until the end of the week!" -Kermit the frog "I need the money... it costs a lot to look this cheap!" -Dolly P. "Oh please, Over at 'Gypsy' Patti LuPone hasn't even alienated her first daughter yet!" Mary Testa in "Xanadu" "...Like a drunk Chita Rivera!" Robin de Jesus in "In the Heights"
"B*tch, I don't know your life." -Xanadu After that if he still doesn't understand why you were uncomfortable and are now infuriated, kick him again but this time with Jazz Hands!!! -KillerTofu#8re: WIW snubbed by Drama Desk...

I wonder what this will mean come Tony noms... Outer critics 5/ Drama Desk 0 -- Tonys????
And cmon - Wedding Singer gets a nom?

THE WEDDING SINGER is far better than THE WOMAN COVERED IN WHITE.
Have you even seen THE WEDDING SINGER?

All a matter of opinion. We are stating ours. No fights please. I respect the wedding singer for what it is, but kindly disagree. I love WIW and nothing will change the way we feel about it being snubbed of nods.
Thank you.

^I agree Muscle.
Emily Skinner is one of my idols! Too bad she didn't get a nod!
