I saw WSS for the first time yesterday at a local production and was confused by the "Somewhere" ballet.In the one I saw it was a retelling of the dance and rumble, which I thought was not needed. What is the ballet in the Broadway production? Just a random ballet sequence, or does it tell a story like the one I saw did?

The Broadway revival cuts the retelling of the rumble, which is known as the "Nightmare." This was a controversial cut with people on here.
The rest of the ballet is the original, but the revival has a boy soprano sing the "Somewhere" solo and he is featured on the stage with Tony and Maria.
