Can't believe that no one has made a thread about this yet. So, even the show was just announced who do we think that they'll be putting into it?

Stephanie Torns has lots of people cheering her on but I don't think the producers will make the mistake of not putting Bareilles in to originate Jenna, as they maybe should've done with the Broadway production.

And how about Lee Mead as Dr. Pomatter, its been a couple years since he's been on the West End and I think that this is right up his alley.

Thoughts?

I don’t think the show suffered for not having Bareilles originate the role. It sold very well.

She’s already said she’s not, but I would’ve loved to see Rachel Tucker as Jenna.

Really digging the kat McPhee rumors, but ya know would also love to see Betsy Wolfe head across the pond. Maybe they can get one of the mamma Mia boys to play dr. Pom.

Lee Mead is unlikely; he's a TV regular on Holby City (a primetime soap) these days, which will pay him far better. He's also... not the sharpest tool in the shed. He's a nurse on Holby City, not a doctor :)

I can only sort-of understand the Katharine McPhee rumour; I don't know if she adds anything in terms of box office cache over here, so why not just cast a great Brit? Maybe it'll be one of those Equity exchange type things - cast an American so a Brit can go over to Broadway at some point?
