I'll be going to see "Grey Gardens" in a few weeks and was wondering what seats would be best? It looks as though the discount only allows in the far orchestra dies or the side mez. How steep is the mez at the Walter Kerr? It's one of the few theaters I haven't been in. Thanks in advance.
When I saw GG, I was able to move down to from rear mezz to front mezz as the curtain was rising. Ushers were allowing/encouraging folks to move closer.
I saw it on Sunday - First Row of Mezz - last seats on left. I was a little worried, but the view was phenomenal. It's a small theater and the mezz hangs far over Orch, so it's actually close.
I sat orchestra right my first time, rear mezz my second and honestly, both views were great. I was really surprised at how good the view from the mezz actually was. I'd be willing to bet you'll be pleased with either seat.

Yeah, the mezzanine seats at at the Walter Kerr are wonderful, but the mezz. IS *very* steep and the seats are quite close together. That being said, the view combined with the design and colors of the theatre have made it one of my favorite Broadway houses.

we saw it in Nov. and were right in the middle of the front mezz. and they were wonderful seats. It's not a big theatre and you can see really well from just about everywhere..
Have sat in both the Orchestra and Mezzanine for this show. Indeed, I preferred the Mezzainine seats, especially for Act II. Either way, there's not a bad seat in the house.
Enjoy!
