The show was done at the La Jolla Playhouse a few years ago. Why does the website say world premiere?

It's not really that new...the show has just had a hard time taking off. I hope the writers have gotten it write this time, from what I've heard of the score it's absolutely gorgeous.

Yeah, that's why I was so confused. I did a find in page for "La Jolla" to no avail and thought, "Hey, fun, Des McAnuff is directing another Zhivago show!"

This is wonderful news. The show was originally set to open on the West End about two to three years ago with Kevin McKidd. It was dropped only months before the planned opening. There were rumors that it was something as simple as a change of mind by ALW that stopped everything.

The score has several wonderful melodies-- far nicer than anything recently seen on broadway. I look forward to hearing about the show once it opens.
