I was just going to pre-order the RENT LIVE filming DVD that comes out on February 3rd. But Amazon says it was filmed in 2005. That is wrong right?

um, they probably just used the year of the film
obviously it WASN'T filmed in 2005...

Posted: 1/10/09 at 12:51amAmazon.com is wrong. The show was done for the cameras twice. One was a week or so before closing on one of their days off. They filmed the show then and then filmed the closing night performance. They filmed it twice so that they could mix and match the best bits from both sessions to have the best version on film that they could have.

Posted: 1/10/09 at 1:07amThe show did not close in 2005, but it just says "Filmed Live" so it could have been filmed in 2005, it is still the show filmed live, does not matter when they did it...LOL..I just find it funny that Amazon wrote that!

I got an advance copy of this the other day and its brilliant, its shot superbly and the cast are brilliant, i had seen some of the rent cast of the past few years who seemed like they were sleepwalking through the show, but this cast, WOW
Its def one to buy
