It was almost painful to watch, bad presenters, mediocore performaces with sound problems just an overall dudness as far as tonight went, nothing spectacular, nothing worth remembering....
the other night I said I would buy a DVD compilation of Tony performances, but I wouldn't for this year

It's been ho-hum for a few years. It's lost its excitement.

I was bored. I even have a headache now...but that may be due to "The Wedding Singer." My Lord!!! I actually have wanted to throw up for once in my life!!

It's weird that a show so marked by upsets and surprises could be so unrelentingly boring. May I suggest some rules for next year's show:
NO MEDLEYS! You must select ONE representitive number from your show and perform it.
No Flashbacks. The theatre is about now. You can run down the winner's past triumphs, but no more "You can't imagine how thrilling it was, but nothing survives of this landmark performance." Preserve what's wonderful now for the future.
No awkward pairings. People present alone unless there is a logical reason they be paired. "He was in "Pretty Woman and she IS a Pretty Woman!" is not an aceptable reason to have people share the stage.
Finally: Don't tell us, SHOW us.

I don't even know who some of the presenters were, never heard of them before and neither had my parents.
As for Wedding Singer - they were great! So much energy! But it's not for everyone.

BAD BAD BAD
WORST TONYS EVER
Completely agree with you on that note. It wasn't boring for me. A lot of it was boring. However, I was so angry after they presented most of the awards, I wasn't even watching all the flashback crap, etc. I taped it, so I'll have to watch it again later.
I missed Hugh
