I was watching "The Soup" last night when Joel McHale mentioned this. I hadn't heard that some gay activists are in a snit because a Scientologist is playing an iconic gay role. They want gays to boycott the film since Scientology condemns homosexuality. It strikes me as odd, as so much gay talent is attached to the project and if they don't have an issue with Travolta why should we?
