Told Post is not replacing Peter will a full-time critic. But rather using freelancers to cover major productions in DC and occasional shows in NYC.

This was announced along with Peter Marks' departure. He took a buy out as they were reducing their staff.

So sad, but newspapers are dying because they haven't found a way to monetize news. I think the notion of a "professional" -- meaning full time job -- theater critic is over.
