Reason number 2398293829367 why I love Patronus.
Seriously though...wah wah wah about how horrible BWW people are. All we ask is for intelligence and yet we get called horrendous bastards. Grow a thicker skin or leave theatre, because this ain't nothing compared to what you'll encounter backstage.
To answer the question--Elphaba is Wicked because being the star of this dreck of a show would cause me to go off the deep end as well. Nothing more frustrating than promising material gone horrendously wrong.

SPOILER ALERT::::By the way, Elphaba didn't turn Boq into the Tin Man. Perhaps you should go see the show again.::::END OF SPOILER
Edited my message because I didn't want to spoil the plot twists for anyone.

What a coincidence, you have been put on IGNORE as well. We got some brilliant ones in here today.
I love how just because I picked the name RENTHEAD I am automatically sterotyped. It is not my favorite show, it was just my birth to the broadway scene ten years ago. As you can see from my picture, I like others.
Thanks MUAH!

The original poster asked a very simple question and after seeing how RUDE people were, someone had to step in. I can talk broadway with the best of them, and I have no problem fending these nasty comments made on this board.
Also she did turn him into the scarecrow through the spell she cast...and I saw it three times, I think I would remember.
Thanks!

Posted: 12/15/06 at 1:43pmSPOILER, again (warnings are courteous)::: Yes, Elphie DID turn Fiyero into a scarecrow to try to save him from the beatings he was getting. Nessarose was responsible for Boq being turned into the Tin Man, but Elphie was blamed for it. END SPOILER.

Posted: 12/15/06 at 1:47pmAND, to answer the question, she was considered an outcast and strange because she was different. She was labeled as Wicked when she started going against popular thought and, more importantly, the evil actions of The Wizard. She saw the wrong The Wizard was doing to Animals and decided to fight against him. She had the strength that Galinda didn't in trying to do the right thing. However, since the popular belief was that The Wizard was "good" and "right," she was labeled Wicked. So she decided to embrace that label.

Posted: 12/15/06 at 1:48pmSPOILER. Although Nessarose was reponsible, it was actually Elphaba that turned him into the Tinman. Nessa just affected his heart.

I will answer this one because everyone here has jumped down your throat which is very common on these boards if you dare bring up the blockbuster Wicked, which by the way has grossed higher weekly more than any other show people may mention on here in the past 3 years
...and G*D forbid someone doesn't like it.
Get over it. People don't have to like Wicked or the annoyingly repetitive threads about it.

With questions like these and the incomprehensible way they are asked, how the hell can anyone be surprised at the reactions the poster would get? You can say "be nice" and baby the person, but is that what we really want to encourage here?
I'd rather see intelligent, bitchy people around here than those who can't even pose a question without it being unintelligible. Is that so much to ask for?

Your fathers?
Which one is the surgeon? Paul Reiser or Greg Evigan?

I fail to see why people are always insulting LizzieCurry. Her only fault is being one of the most articulate, informed people on these boards. If your father is a surgeon, one would think he would be able to afford you a better education. Then again, sometimes you just have to cut your loses (ie: the Hilton sisters).
