B3 - I was on the L and I saw a Wicked sign. I wondered if the Chicago production was in trouble. I checked my PQ blog, and there were not responses, so I have made this my new blog.

I will answer this one because everyone here has jumped down your throat which is very common on these boards if you dare bring up the blockbuster Wicked, which by the way has grossed higher weekly more than any other show people may mention on here in the past 3 years but here you go:
She was considered Wicked through various misunderstandings in the show. First, her appearance made her an outcast w/ her classmates. Her powers, which were too powerful for her to control (i.e. turning Bok into the Tin-Man and the man resented that change as opposed to being thankful that she saved his life), and always ended up haunting her in the end aka the song "No Good Deed" explains this well.
Her love for animals was made corrupt by the Wizard who claimed that the monkeys were working for her "evilness." The reason why the Wizard turned everything around on here to make her look "wicked" and Ga-linda the "good" one has to do with Elphaba finding out that the Wizard really doesn't have any powers and was using the monkeys as spies.
Let me know if I have answered this entirely. I throughly enjoyed watching this show with Idina Menzel, Norbert Butz, and Kristen Chenoweth. Ignore these people on here :)
