Plans were to go on a boat ride, but looks like tomorrow afternoon isn't going to be a nice day on the water. I know Beautiful and Matilda are playing, but don't see any discounts. Anything good playing Off Broadway tomorrow matinee or am I missing any B'way discounts?

Please save me from museums!

Are you only looking for a Friday matinee? Playbill Club has 4th of July Holiday discounts for Cabaret, If/Then, Les Miz and Once.

Just matinee. Got Realistic Jones at night, and Hedwig late Saturday. Lots of options for Saturday matinee, but not much out there for Friday matinee.

TKTS will also be open for all the shows selling matinees tickets.

A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.

You'd have no trouble getting tickets to Holler or Rocky, I'm sure. Rocky is doing some sort of $40 deal, I can't find a link at the moment but I saw it on their twitter.

I'm not interested in Holler, she's not interested in Rocky.

TKTS is probably going to have to be the answer. Too bad we don't get to the city until noon, hope the good stuff isn't gone.

Will also try Todaystix app for the first time.

If your app doesn't work, I wouldn't stress about TKTS being sold out, some shows release tickets right before show time, so if you don't mind having to hustle to the theatre, you can usually get great seats right before showtime.

TKTS had these options at 11AM on Friday:

Jersey Boys
Rocky
Mamma Mia
Matilda
Holler

So we jumped on Matilda. For $88.50 each (all in), we got seats in Row S (second to last row) on the outside aisle (24-26). These seats were going for $89 at the box office for the Sunday matinee, but they insist they were full price for the Friday show. Never felt like I got a bad deal at TKTS before (price-wise) but I did on Friday.

The show, however, was great! We both really loved it and the time flew by.

Friday night was Realistic Joneses. Fun dialogue, great acting (who knew Marisa Tomei could pass for mid 20's?), but the story . . . what story?

Saturday night was Hedwig at 10PM from Row C in the center. We were prepared to get wet and we did. Second time seeing NPH as Hedwig and we loved it as much or more than the first time!
