The main point is that Wedding Singer's Box Office tripled Monday!
Hooray for their great Tony performance.
Congrats!! Now Keep It Up!
I know other shows box office's did well also, but I was most excited about this one!

I have to say I had no interest whatsoever in seeing this show before the Tony awards. After seeing that performance on the show I'm definitely planning on seeing it sometime this summer. I was completely won over.

I saw it just in time!
I figured this would happen. Everyone I know who watched the Tony's wants to see this now. I'm glad I went before the Tony's.
Excellent news for the cast and crew.
Don't know if I'm completely won over, but I have to say that they impressed me with a fun, well done, high energy number. The jump in box office definitely makes sense.
Now that's amazing!!
I'm so glad for the show!

Congratulations to The Wedding Singer. Stephen, Laura, Kevin, Amy, and the rest of that talented cast have worked too hard to be out on the street so soon. I am glad they have hit their stride, and I wish them all the best for continued box office success!

Great News! Hopefully the show will last.
What wonderful news! May the show stick around for a long time, and may it introduce lots of newbies to Broadway.
Congrats to them! That was the highlight of the Tonys for me, so they deserve it!

I loved the Tony performance...So much energy!
This makes me ridiculously happy to hear.
hurray!!! That's great news! I hope their CD does great as well because man is it fun stuf! Congrats to the cast and crew!
I am glad I bought tixs for the show before the Tonys.
I've not seen the show, and as of 4 days ago, had no desire to see the show. I now plan on seeing the show. Even if the rest of the show is dissapointing, that opening number sold me. "TWS" did exactly what you need to do on the Tony telecast. They showed off a GREAT number that really seemed to wow the Radio City audience as well. The tune was catchy the cast was loaded with energy and Rob Ashford's choreography was a blast to watch. I downloaded the song (for free) off of Itunes last week, and hadn't even listened to it. I've listened to it many times since Sunday night. I say, good for them!
(I only wish they had showcased the talents of the lovely Laura Benanti on the telecast.)

In today's Liz Smith column in the Post, she says she watched the Tonys with a 7-year-old friend who's a 'theater-minded kid from the get-go.' And which show fragment did he like best? 'The Wedding Singer.' Liz says now he's dying to see it. If that's the effect 'It's Your Wedding Day' had on a kid, I hope it was just as successful with more ticket-buying adults.

My mom really loved the opening number. I haven't seen the show, nor will I ever get to unless it tours, but my cast recording arrived on Saturday and haven't stopped listening since. It's even gotten added to my mp3 player already.
It's really great to read some of the comments on Stephen's person/comedy Myspace because so many of his fans are seeing their first broadway show and loving it!
