The movie is on right now on VH1 -- I just saw the show yesterday afternoon - they did a really good job of bringing this to the stage - they kept certain elements, but changed around things just enough to make it work on stage. I had a great time at the show - and the more I listen to the recording, the more I like it. And really - Casualty of Love is a better song than Love Stinks is anyway :)
I watched it yesterday on VH1. I haven't seen this movie in years, and after seeing the show it was so interesting to watch the movie. They've been playing commercials for the Wedding Singer on broadway on VH1 too. My mom started yelling for me to come into the room when she heard one of them. She's in denial that she wants to see the show haha.

Ha, I think it's one of those shows that's hard to hate. Unless you're just a really crabby person, it's hard not to laugh at the show a couple times, and it has some of the best music. It's so catchy and light-hearted.
On CBS right now they're playing "What Women Want" - and I can't help but think how great this would be as a musical. With David Yazbek or something writing it.

I'm sorry, but the musical will never beat the movie. Ever. I've seen the movie ten thousand times; it's one of my favorites. The ending alone is a classic.
Really?? I am just the opposite. I watched the movie on VH1 yesterday, and decided I like the musical MUCH more. I like Holly and Linda better in the musical especially.
we just listened to the cast recording on the way to San Diego yesterday.......I love it!
As much as I love Broadway (and I haven't yet seen the Wedding Singer although I do have the cast recording) nothing can beat the movie. It's one of my all-time favorites. I love just about any movie with Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore.
um, well if you haven't seen the musical, how could you know which is better?
