re: Wedding Singer rush question-how late?

I went last Saturday at 6:45PM for the evening show and got two seats. They were nothing spectacular (Row M Orch... all the way on the right) but I got them and they were fine. On a Tuesday I'd say you won't have a problem.

Yeah, as of now, you can get there 10 minutes before the door opens and get tickets. They may be for the rear mezzanine, but how can you be choosy?

Yeah the seats are really good in that theatre in the mezzanine. I think I had row F or G also on another date. I didn't see it on Tuesday because Cara was on for Amy and I'm not really a big Cara fan.

re: Wedding Singer rush question-how late?

sorry to bump this so far up- but i'm still a little confused. so the student rush tickets go on sale at 10 when the box office opens but they continue to sell any unsold tickets the rest of the day as student rush? and they take requests as far as i'd rather be farther back and center then closer to the stage and on the side? i know the wednesday matinees have been selling out, how have the weekend matinees been?

re: Wedding Singer rush question-how late?

Student rush tickets for Wedding Singer go onsale at 10am Tuesday-Saturday. They go onsale at 12pm on Sundays. This is the time that the box office opens. The student rush tickets are either the entire front row, or the last two seats on each side of the orchestra. After those seats are sold, they might sell any unsold tickets as student rush. Usually you can not request where your seats can be for student rush. They usually have a pile of tickets which are designated as student rush tickets and they will just take the next 2 tickets off the pile for you. The Wednesday matinees have been very full lately but they shouldn't be anymore as school starts this week. I'm sure if you get to the theatre a few hours before any performance you will get rush tickets.

"They usually sell the unsold tickets as rush."

I don't know if I already posted this in this thread, but I went on a Sunday at 12:45 and couldn't get tickets. So can someone confirm if this statement is true on weekends?

Usually weekdays I believe this to be true because they usually are more difficult to sell.

"They no longer sell tickets for student rush once the front row is gone. So get there early."

If that's true, I think that's really stupid of them. Or maybe it's smart. Either one. I mean.. I guess it forces people to pay more for their tickets, but I think a lot of people who see the show multiple times are people who use student rush because they can't afford to pay more.

Okay, liotte...that explains why I couldn't get Wedding Singer tickets.
