Posted: 4/12/04 at 3:37pmI have a chance to go to New York City the first week in May and can probably only catch a matinee on that Wednesday. Any knowledge if any of the "big stars" take off on Wednesdays. Bernedette, Donna, Idina, Kristen, and of the Millie ladies?

How exactly are those 8 performances scattered through out the week? Does it vary by show? What days have matinees?

Posted: 4/12/04 at 11:37pmThere is no show on Monday, a night show on Tuesday, Two Shows on Wednesday, a night show on Thursday, a night show on friday, two shows on saturday, and a three o clock show on sunday. Although, some shows may have a seven o clock show on Sunday!

Posted: 4/12/04 at 11:52pmActually it depends on the show. GYPSY, RENT, and AVENUE Q all have shows on Mondays.

Posted: 4/13/04 at 10:37amGypsy doesn't play on Mondays anymore. They now have a Sunday matinee. The schedule BrooklynsChild gave is correct for most shows but its best to check each one you are interested in. Cabaret ran for a long time with no shows on Wednesday. Some shows have a Sunday matinee and an evening performance. Just be sure to check.

Even worse are when the Wed mat is full of grumpy older patrons--sometimes they are worse than the kids!
Donna Murphy does all 8 shows a week.

If you go see Wicked the first week of May, matinee or not, Kristin will not be in as she is performing in Candide.
Otherwise, both Kristin and Idina, as already stated, perform in matinees, barring illness or something else.

as of now kristen is usually there, after her illness and neck injury...idina is always there
i went to a thursday night and everyone in the cast was there and wednesday matinees are usually not skipped cause of the high attendance

I believe Millie does not have Thursday shows, but they do play on Mondays.
I went to the Wicked matinee today and everyone was there, and all in good voice. Though I did keep getting this image of Idina running away from a crowd. Thank you Broadwayworld.com :[
