Oh really? Well...there goes that theory.

Someone said it earlier, but the roles of Daisy and Violet, and the performances of Alice and Emily, compliment each other so much, I feel like neither performance would have been the same without an equally strong performance by each of the twins.
"Ragtime" not winning The Tony for Best Musical.
Pet peeve: Smokey Joe's Cafe was a revue, not a review. Continue.
No Tony Nomination for Mack & Mabel score
Ditto for J/H
I find it odd Chenoweth was up for Leading Actress in Wicked.
I know the rules about being above the title...however, in that case, I feel like the producers should have petitioned to have her in the featured category.
Idina Menzel would have still won leading actress...but Kristin Chenoweth would have KILLED her competition in supporting. The producers of Wicked could have then advertised that both women won Tony awards for their roles.
Chenoweth WOULD have beaten Anika Noni Rose...
Seems like a very odd move on the producers of Wicked.

Everyone is forgeting when Urinetown won best book, best score, best direction and then LOST best musical to Millie. How can you be the be all around musical on Broadway, and loose the best musical Tony?
I always found it odd that Michael Cerveris, who was onstage for nearly the entire show, received a Best Featured Actor nomination for his work in Tommy.
Hunter Foster NOT getting a nomination for URINETOWN, when in fact he should have won.
Speaking of Urinetown, the most egregious omission for me was the fact that Jeff McCarthy, who should have won the Best Featured Actor award that year, wasn't even nominated.
The year before, Janine LaManna was snubbed of a Best Featured Actress nomination, when she also gave the best performance in that category and should have won.
I think the decision to put Stew in the best actor category and Daniel Breaker in the featured was odd.
It always seems weird to me when performers in revivals are nominated in a different category than the performer who originated the same role in the original production. Sort of like when Charlotte d'Amboise was nominated for featured actress, whereas Donna McKechnie was considered a lead.

David Hyde Pierce besting Raul Esparza stung me like no other but that's just me.
