I was at the last second-to last performance of Gypsy a few months ago and a bunch of people took (flash) pictures during the final company bow of the curtain call. I think that is OK, but during any part of the show is bullshat.

My brother and his wife were in Vegas a few months ago and said the anti-camera security at the Celene Dion show so Naziesque that they had metal detectors to ensure no cameras went into the theater. They also said that someone had somehow gotten a camera in and they took a flash picture during the show. My brother said when the flash went off it was like a gun went off. The security was on the person like flies on shat.

Speaking of Celene Dion, did you know she is so fockin pretentious that she has trademarked her name?

Speaking of Vegas, the productoin cost of the new Cirque Du Soliel show, KA, at the MGM was greater than ALL the shows on Broadway last year, combined?

I suppose all the Broadway rules, Vegas sucks people will flame me now

Then I suppose I'll get flamed for my comment. But which would you rather have? Annoying, flashes going off during the shows, ruining the moment where Idina "defies gravity" or the moment when Roger is telling Mimi how much he loves her FINALLY...or deal with a few metal detectors and security stops and enjoy the show.

You have to do it when you see many bands, and on tours, why not on Broadway?
