Cool looking website.
Oh God. When I first saw this post, I immediately thought, "Cast Michael Crawford and it will flop!"
Some of the numbers should be:
1.I Feel Hairy
2.Full Moon
3.I Feel A Change Comin On
4.Confrontation

Great site Autumnmoonprod. Don't listen to these amateurs. You are doing fine :)

Thanks rockfenris... BTW we do have a sense of humor about the subject matter and the show itself. Having a song called "I Feel Hairy" would probably get us publicity, though not necessarily the right kind. :)
The clips won't play on my computer. Can't tell what to use. Windows Media Player doesn't work. Where can I get the concept CD?

well, at least you have no shame.
Shill that show proud.
Duh...it says where to get it right on the site!

Hi uncageg... the sound clips seem to work best with RealPlayer and a high-speed connection.
They are in MP4 format in case that means anything to you.
By the way, we are interested in any suggestions or constructive criticism anyone wishes to offer. The show is scheduled to open in August but auditions have not been held and we want to make the show interesting and fun for one and all........ :)

Just a little casting suggestion...I think he is available.
HA! I just spit out my tea.
Thanks, Sueleen. That was fab.

this sounds very interesting..........
I just got done listening to the song clips on the website and since I have the time, I thought I'd share my thoughts on the music and my overall impression of the show. This is long...I apologize.
*I'm making these remarks based solely on the synopsis and songs, so if I make suggestions or criticisms that are not applicable, I apologize.
Autumn Moon: I feel like this song needs a better set-up than described in the synopsis. The lyrics "How could I lose track of the sun"/"I was lost having too much fun"/"Every step I take takes me nearer"...etc. demand a more epic lead-in, and I'm not sure a chorus of singing wolves is the best way to achieve this. I feel the book could be strengthened by involving the characters from "the past" in the opening dream sequence, indicating the journey about to take place. I like the music and lyrics, and the opening theme (the first 10 seconds or so) seems like something you would want to incorporate throughout the musical.
All of My Life: This song felt unmotivated, and I wonder how the audience is to know what Esmay is singing about. Part of me feels like this should me moved to a later point in the show.
Shout it Out: Some really cheesy lyrics in this song ("I live in the underworld...giving wishes to boys and girls"), but overall a nice anthem for Minion.
Second Born: Sounded a little too Elton John for my liking, but it may have just been the singer's voice. This also feels out of place - who is he singing to? Maybe moving it to right after the scene between Weir and Minion and establishing that he is present to visit his father would be a better choice?
The Girl of My Dreams: Ok, I pretty much laughed out loud during this entire song. This is the first time 'CUT IT!' kept going through my head, but I think it could be salvaged if you altered the orchestrations and gave it less of a rat pack, 20's night club treatment. As it is it feels COMPLETELY incongruent with the rest of the music. Especially since its set in a gypsy camp.
The Blood: I LOVED THIS SONG! Props to the singer, he sounded amazing. This was a great example of achieving a heavy rock feel without going overboard (unlike Shout it Out - but I think the problem with that is mainly the lyrics)
The Other Side: This song confused me. What IS the other side?? First Abraham says "Let us fly to the other side," giving the impression of refuge, then he says "Let them suffer on the other side"...? The song felt a little too laid back/bluesy to be about a 'religious zealot' who "condemns the gypsy community before his congregation, branding them as witches," but I appreciated the variation of musical style :)
Because: Again, I LOVED THIS SONG!! However, I think it deserves a better title. Also, I can see it being a downer of a finale for Act 1 unless it gets seriously beefed up. Personally, I think you would be better off ending the first act with Lawrence's arrest.
Ruled by the Wolf: I really liked this song as well. However, again I'm confused...is the Wolf a different character (actor) from Weir and Lawrence? Or are these songs sung by Weir and Lawrence after transforming into the wolf?? I'm under the impression the Wolf is separate, and I'm not sure I like this approach. I understand the difficulty involving costume/make-up, etc, but I think casting the wolf separately creates an odd convention for the audience to accept.
Left of the Moon: I loved the song, but is this the only song the constable sings? I feel like perhaps this character can be eliminated and the song given to Abraham instead. I know it cuts down on characters, but I think you'd be better off having a more acutely defined character in Abraham than two one-dimensional characters. Oh, and I don't get the title.
No Time to be Shy: Oh Dear God. Again, sticks out like a sore thumb. Musical variety is always good, but this would completely remove me from the show (as would The Girl of My Dreams). I think this would be a great opportunity to give Esmay a powerhouse ballad. (Honestly - a tortured love affair with a werewolf?...this just screams Frank Wildhorn...)
Burn Them: Really compelling. I love it. Again a great example of a convincing rock anthem, minus the cheese which is always good.
The Man of My Dreams: Pretty. I like the pared down accompaniment (sp). PS: I totally think Lycan needs to be the one to kill Minion. I mean, the guy is locked in a freaking bomb shelter and he 'manifests' himself in his dream. He deserves to kill someone. Plus he really hasn't done anything up to this point...
Forever: Beautiful. Well performed.
Overall, I'm really intrigued by the show, and I think there's a lot of potential, but there are quite a few flaws/holes in the book and lyrics. Many elements seem unprovoked and forced, and I think simplifying much of the flashback and dream sequences that happen early on would be a wise choice.
OK, I've rambled on for far too long. Hope this helps!

I recently saw this show at the Wings Theatre downtown NYC and really enjoyed it. Without having much to work from as far as sets, props, etc., the show was well acted, designed, had an interesting story, and a very good score.
I hope in the future this show will be looked into further. THANKFULLY, there's a concept recording of this awesome score. If you're a fan of rock/gothic musicals, you should check it out.
I'm seeing it tomorrow with two friends.
This thread is dreadfully old and shouldn't have been ressurrected, but since it is...
I'll give my review tomorrow evening after I get home!
Go see it and support David Weitzer, a great talent!
