Darn. As Maria says to Anita, "Make it not be true!" Do they need to ruin every musical with a "sing along" version? No offense but my idea of a good time is not paying $20 or so to hear a bunch of old queens singing "I Feel Pretty" off-key! Why can't they just show the darn movie without audience participation? I guess I'll stay home and watch it on DVD.

At least there is the 70mm festival coming up. Maybe this year they will actually show "Hello, Dolly!". It was announced last year but pulled at the last minute because the print was unusable. I know that there are new 7omm prints of "Dolly" since they have shown in in LA and overseas. One of the 70mm films will be "Tron". They announced that when I went to see "Midnight Cowboy" there last week. I wonder when they will announce the others?

"I've lost everything! Luis, Marty, my baby with Chris, Chris himself, James. All I ever wanted was love." --Sheridan Crane "Passions" ------- "Housework is like bad sex. Every time I do it, I swear I'll never do it again til the next time company comes."--"Lulu" from "Can't Stop The Music" ----- "When the right doors didn't open for him, he went through the wrong ones" - "Sweet Bird of Youth" ------------ --------- "Passions" is uncancelled! See NBC.com for more info.

I am kinda with you on this. While I do regret not being able to attend the Evita sing-along, I'm not sure if I would be too sad about missing this one.
