The Broadway League released its latest demo report.
63.4% of tickets were from tourists.
67% of all theatergoers were female.
18.4% of tickets were from international tourists.
Only 5% of Broadway audiences were made up of die-hard fans who saw 15 or more shows, but they still comprise 29% of all admissions.

I don't even understand how they get these demographics:
I fit all three of the categories you mention -- I live in Boston, so that makes me a tourist, I AM female but I definitely see 15 or more shows a year.

I wonder if the questionnaires were handed out at Leap of Faith and On a Clear Day.

Posted: 12/4/12 at 1:03am^ I got a Leap of Faith playbill at the flea market this year and it had a questionnaire in it. No idea if it was for this or not.
